Vertu Motors which operates Vertu Hereford Audi, Hereford Volkswagen, and Hereford Volkswagen Van Centre, is lending its support to The Mayor’s Peaks Challenge 2024.
This significant event is organised in aid of St Richard’s Hospice, a beacon of hope and support for adults facing serious progressive illnesses and their families in Worcester and the surrounding areas.
Scheduled for Saturday, 4th May 2024, The Mayor’s Peaks Challenge offers participants an opportunity to experience the stunning landscapes of the Malvern Hills through two meticulously planned walks - catering to both avid hikers and those looking for a less strenuous journey.
All entrants will receive an event T-shirt and will be presented with a finishers' medal, both supplied by Vertu Motors, on their return to Priory Park.
Stuart Morley, Head of Business at Vertu Motors Hereford Audi, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, saying: “It is with great pride that we align ourselves with The Mayor’s Peaks Challenge 2024, supporting the invaluable work of St Richard’s Hospice.
“Our commitment extends beyond our business operations into making a tangible difference in our community. This event not only highlights the incredible services provided by St Richard’s Hospice but also brings our community together for a cause that touches many lives.”
Linda Blake, Town Clerk said “Malvern Town Council are delighted to be running The Peaks Challenge again. This event provides a superb outdoor walking challenge along the beautiful Malvern Hills, whilst raising much needed funds for St Richards Hospice. A huge thank you to Vertu Motors who are sponsoring the event T-shirts and medals as this allows all funds collected to go directly to the charity”.
St Richard’s Hospice, an independent charity based in Worcester, relies heavily on public support and donations to continue its critical work. The hospice offers comprehensive care and support, enhancing the quality of life for patients from diagnosis through to treatment and into their final days, whilst also supporting their families.
The Mayor’s Peaks Challenge 2024 is more than just a fundraising event; it is a testament to the strength of community spirit and the collective desire to support those in need.
