Vertu Adds Support For The Blaze To Expanded Nottinghamshire Partnership

Automotive retailer Vertu will go into bat for women’s cricket in Nottinghamshire after adding support for The Blaze to its partnership with Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club ahead of the 2025 season.

Vertu, which has an extensive presence in Nottinghamshire and more than 200 dealerships nationally, will be entering its fourth summer as an official partner of the Club as it bids to challenge in Division 1 of the County Championship.

This season, Vertu will also support The Blaze as it heads into an exciting new era for women’s cricket, with Nottinghamshire having been named as one of the eight counties to compete in Tier 1 of the new professional domestic structure.

Vertu branding will adorn the sleeves of The Blaze’s training wear, whilst the company will also become the inaugural partner for Nottinghamshire’s newly-formed Super 9s disability cricket team.

The Company will also work with the Club on community programmes having last year donated tickets and money-can’t-buy hospitality experiences to over 250 youngsters from recreational clubs, who were invited to play on the hallowed Trent Bridge turf and act as flag-bearing mascots at Vitality Blast fixtures.

As part of the ongoing partnership, Vertu will continue to feature as a sponsor on the shirt of Nottinghamshire’s men’s team across all formats of the game.

Vertu has nine retail sites within Nottingham itself, one of which – Vertu Volkswagen Nottingham South – is just a mile away from Trent Bridge.

Robert Forrester, Vertu Chief Executive, said: "We're thrilled to have the opportunity to deepen our partnership with Nottinghamshire this year to encompass women's and disability cricket.

"Nottinghamshire's commitment to cricket for all ages and abilities, and to making a difference in their community, really resonates with our values.

"We feel privileged to be the partner of a Club that has such a special place in the hearts of cricket lovers across the county."

Joe Sharphouse, Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club Head of Commercial Sales, said: "We're delighted that Vertu are remaining on board for the 2025 season, and are showing their support for a wider range of our teams and initiatives.

"Their commitment to charitable initiatives extends beyond mere words, and their backing of our competitive disability cricket teams is another tangible example of their desire to make a difference in the community.

"Their passion for customer experience chimes perfectly with our values as a venue, and we look forward to continuing our fruitful partnership.”
