Huge Selection of Toyotas Land at Ayr Roadshow Event Ahead of Dealership Opening
Ahead of opening its brand-new £5m Toyota dealership in Ayr next year, Macklin Motors is offering locals the chance to buy a car for half price during a roadshow event at Ayr Racecourse.
Macklin Motors is in the process of investing around £5M to build a new dealership in the town, after winning the Toyota franchise West of Scotland. With the new site set to be completed by early 2024, it is bridging the gap with a four-day-long road show at Ayr Racecourse, with 200 new and used vehicles – and each day one used vehicle will be offered at half price.
The roadshow will be the largest display of Toyota vehicles in the Glasgow and Ayrshire area and will run from Wednesday 2 - Saturday 5 August. Opening times at the racecourse are 9.00am to 8.00pm Wednesday to Friday and 9.00am to 5.00pm Saturday.
Macklin Motors’ dedicated Motability Specialists will also be on hand to assist with customers who plan, or already, exchange some of their disability-related benefits in exchange for a brand-new vehicle.
Macklin Motors announced plans earlier this year to replace the Arnold Clark Toyota dealership which once served the town. The new site will include a main showroom, a valet building, MOT, and servicing area as well as up to 360 parking spaces for display and customer vehicles.
Christopher McKenzie, CMA General Manager at Macklin Motors, who is running the event and will head up the new dealership once open, said: “I’m really pleased to be able to bring Toyota back to the people of Ayr. Toyota is producing lots of fantastic new cars like Aygo X, Yaris Cross, and the All-New All-Electric Toyota bZ4X – and we have plenty of used cars available too, including one half price vehicle each day.
“It will be a fantastic event at Ayr racecourse, and we are all looking forward to getting to know our new customers in the area. We’ll have plenty of refreshments and I hope a few people just pop down for a cuppa and to have a chat!”
