Hibernian Football Club and Macklin Motors will drive forward together until the end of the 2023/24 season after announcing an extension of their long-standing partnership.
The famous Edinburgh club first joined forces with Macklin Motors – one of the leading motor retailers in Scotland – in May 2021 ahead of a season that saw the Hibees make it all the way to the final of the Scottish League Cup, and will now work together into a third season together.
As part of the extended relationship, Macklin Motors – which operates dealerships across the country, including the local Hyundai branch on Seafield Road in Leith – will offer Hibernian season ticket holders two years' free servicing with any new or used car purchase made before the end of the 23/24 football season.
Macklin Motors, part of the wider Vertu Motors group, are proud to represent some of the biggest motor manufacturers, with dealerships representing Ford, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Nissan, Peugeot, Renault, MG and Toyota at 19 sites across the country.
Murray Milligen, Hibernian FC’s Head of Commercial, said: “I’m delighted we’re extending our partnership with Macklin Motors for another season. It’s important we partner with organisations who can offer all club players, staff and supporters unrivalled customer service and Macklin certainly offer that within Scottish motor retailing.
“Macklin have immersed themselves into all areas of the club and we have already seen them offer once in a lifetime experiences for our fans. I look forward to continuing to develop the partnership this season and beyond.”
Andrew Simpson, Franchise Director at Macklin Motors, said: “Hibernian Football Club have quickly become a valued partner of the Macklin Motors brand, so we are delighted to extend our partnership for another season.
“Our shared values are reflected in the success of the partnership to date and we look forward to continuing to work with the club to not only chase success on the pitch, but also maximise the various opportunities that are available off it, such as the deal we are able to offer season ticket holders looking to upgrade their car during the current campaign.”
