Car Dealership Delivers 'Egg-stra' Easter Joy to Chesterfield Royal Hospital

The initiative, which started as a simple conversation in a staff forum, blossomed into a major effort to bring a little ‘egg-stra’ happiness to the hospital over Easter.

 

The idea was sparked by the team's desire to give back to a local institution that has provided invaluable support to some of their own. "We discussed it in our colleague forum and thought it would simply be a nice thing to do," said James Cubitt, General Manager at Vertu Land Rover Chesterfield. "With Easter approaching, we decided to organise an Easter egg collection. It’s a small gesture, but we know it can bring a big smile."

 

The campaign saw posters being placed around the business and announcements made on social media, encouraging contributions. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with the majority of donations coming from staff members and several customers also making special drop-offs.

 

"One of our colleague's sisters works at the hospital, and several of our team members have relied on the hospital’s services over the years," Jamie Cubitt explained. "We just thought that it would bring a smile to their faces."
